"Personal information"? The question is, why was Jewel banned. There can hardly be a more public issue, or question. (But thank you for coming forward to correct my behavior!)

And look! Now it's been answered. Transparency is a good thing, not a bad one, when it's the goal of the moderator.

The issue of the basis for Grainne's bannings is one of the main ones under discussion. A while back, Grainne expressed puzzlement about why some people had stopped posting. That's what made me think of a possible explanation for the Jewel banning.

I don't consider reasons for banning from a public thread "personal information." If I were banned for reasons kept secret, I wouldn't much like it.

Putting someone on ignore is personal. Banning someone is public. "Transparency" is Grainne's goal in this regard.

Again, thank you for correcting my behavior. Though the correction was unreasonable, you did reassure me that there is some transparent reason for Jewel's banishment that I just haven't yet seen.

This did happen, according to Jewel: He did post harshly to you. (I plan to soon, myself, btw; harshly but entirely fairly, and with no name-calling.) Poet asked him to move on. He agreed with the understanding that Grainne and you were ready to do the same. You posted to him, he returned a post that was fairly mild, and he was banned.
