"Got some more SUR @ .60 (Left an order in from this morning. It filled.)"

Hi Dave,

While not having a link to the article itself, I have it on very good authority that yesterday the Philippine Supreme Court upheld the appeal lodged by the Arroyo Government and the MGB that the 1995 Mining Law and, in particular, the very important FTAA was in fact declared to be constitutional.

This means that foreign companies can own and control 100% of the large projects in the Philippines instead of having to cede some %age of ownership to Philippine interests.

Philippine President Gloria Arroyo is on record as being very much in favor of increasing foreign mining investment in the Philippines.

This appears to be a very big step for the future as well as heralding a potential major resurgence of the Philippine Mining Industry and should tend to bring the big players back to elephant country.

This news may, in fact, be part of the reason behind SUR's 14% gain so far today although it doesn't seem to be helping your resident pumper's fave Philippine miner, MIO.V, very much as it seemed to be in the red the last time I looked....

Hopefully, his/her other pumpjob, AUA, is doing better!

In any event, good luck to you
