Ralph-e,
I know it gets hot; but the longer that you're there, you become climatized (sp)?. I once talked to a fellow who lived for years in the Amazon basin; and he used to complain, that at night he would have to wear a sweater because it went down to 86-90 degrees F. And I tell people that you've never experienced a thunder storm until you've been in Queensland.
I still get out the map and drool over some of the names of the towns; Toowoomba, Coolangatta, Murwillumba, Muckadilla etc.
