the pc is not dead...no more than a toaster is dead..it is, however, a terribly UNexciting industry, akin to consumer electronics. but the role of the PC in society will only deepen. but notice i am not saying ms windows will deepen. i said peecees and that includes linux. just look to the htpc as an example of how this versatile technology finds new things to do...will investing in PCs be a wealth building exercise. Hardly. But UNIX servers will be even worse. ;-)
