from NPR's biz rap up. posted by GoofyinMd on the fool Dollar General down 12% comp for the big weekend. Analyst said low income shoppers have no disposable income. All low end marketers being hurt. Another analyst said numbers reported to small a metric to generalize. MIT economics prof said income distribution model predicted ths outcome. The lower middle class is being hammered by higher food and energy costs. Lower mddle class real income is declining while upper classes gain. (this guy must hate Bush and America).
