I had a lovely Thanksgiving.

My niece got married a few days after Thanksgiving near New York City. We took the kids out of school for the week and made a major adventure out of it. We stayed in West Bronx, a lovely neighborhood at the edge of the hudson, and rode the trains into Manhatten nearly every day. There is so much to do and see that we put in 12 hour or more days every day. The wedding was in the Hamptons, but I was not impressed since a heavy cold rain was blowing in sideways by that time.
We shopped, and ate, and sailed to the statue of liberty and looked over the city from the Empire State building and many things. It was too much fun because now my daughter is talking about college there, and I'd like her to be a bit closer to home.
