Bush is pushing for the passage of his intelligence bill that among other things would consolidate every agency under one "intelligence czar". Separation of powers has been a standard of our nation since the beginning. Everything under one roof under one man sounds too much like the Gestapo to me. And what about the different charters these agencies are supposed to operate under? The CIA and military are not supposed to "spy" on US citizens. The FBI can in the scope of legal warrants issued by a judge like other police agencies. How will we be protected from one mammoth intelligence agency? I don't think we will be and say goodbye to what's left of our constitutional rights. Why is this Bush's first order of business and not the economy!!
