I've started turning on local college hockey and have been to a few games too.

We (scouts) are going to a West Point hockey game in January.

You get great seats only rows from the ice.

(Close enough to see face prints on the glass.)

(Close enough to appreciate the size and power of the Zamboni!)

And they only cost $6 apiece.

How do ya beat that?!

We went last year and had a great time.

There's talk about possibly going to a couple of Marist
Basketball games.

Screw the pros.

I think they have reached my saturation level where I can say
I'm not willing to pay that much. Roll the prices back.

I didn't go to a single Yankee game last year.
They have priced themselves out of my zone of payable family fun.
(Besides the available tix were nosebleeders.)

We went to a minor league game 2 minutes from our home and
had not traffic to fight and the kids really enjoyed it.

And they have silly competitions and give-aways inbetween innings.

I wonder how long it will take Hockey to recover from this.
