Your entire thesis ignores the successes experienced by Muslims in Turkey who have worked hard to marry Islam and democracy. Ask any Turkish Muslim about your idea that they would prefer a theocratic government which implements Sharia law over a democratic government that respects Islamic principles. They voted for the latter and the proof is that Turkey is the most successful Muslim democracy. So your argument is conjecture. Turkey is proof of my argument. So take that! ;)
