Potential cut in output raises doubts on steel-supply strategy

TOKYO Nissan Motor, Japan's second- largest carmaker, may be forced to cut production for a second time in four months because it cannot get enough steel, raising concern about the company's supply strategy.
.
The chief executive, Carlos Ghosn, said Thursday that the company might cut production by 15,000 units in March, which would trim profit by ¥6 billion, or $58.6 million. The Tokyo-based company said Nov. 25 that it would reduce output by 25,000 units this year.
