In the Bullpen - Quote of the Day
By Chad Evans on Quote of the Day

Ladies and gents, I present to you the Liberal establishment in all of their wisdom and irony.

- Army Times

“We should have leveled with the American people in the beginning,” Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Del., told reporters. “It was absolutely inevitable,” that more troops would be needed.

[snip]

“(This has) made the American citizens believe that they were … misled or (either) that (calling for more troops means) things are in a worse shape (than they are being told),” Biden said.

Actually Senator Biden, increasing the troop count in Iraq for their elections makes me think we are committed to Democracy in Iraq. I don’t feel misled because President Bush never said he wouldn’t increase the troop count. In fact, he has said repeatedly that he would listen to all of his advisors and make a decision that is best for the country. I believe he has done so.

Biden seems not to realize the election is over and would rather throw a bomb at President Bush rather than support something that he has argued for, increased amount of soldiers in Iraq. Before the election Democratic senators such as Biden cried foul at the lack of soldiers in Iraq. Now that the Pentagon has announced they will increase the soldiers in the region by 12,000 those same senators are now crying foul.
