>> brent, the zone is head and shoulders above atkins. i wouldn't recommend the average american diet or atkins. i highly recommend the zone. <<

greetings skeeter!

is this your way of saying you miss me? i missed you too. i don't want to argue about atkins vs. zone anymore.

"the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost."

there are far more important things in life than our diet. if the zone works for you, great! if atkins helps another, splendid!

now, if you really want to reminisce about old times on this thread....let's have a get together with victor lazlo, rd buschman, mr. harmond, lizzie tudor, etc. then we can talk about how victor and yourself laughed me off this thread for giving you the heads up on china. remember that? you two couldn't stop howling at me in laughter for talking about the explosive growth in china.

NOW EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT CHINA.

victor and a few others laughed at me for warning about the raging bull that was coming in commodities. now when i am bored out of my mind enough to turn on useless cnbc they go on and on about commodities.

NOW EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT COMMODITIES EXPLODING.

i talked about rampant illegal immigration along with jobs in america being outsourced overseas. mr buschman and others scorned me to derision and called me names--protectionist was the nicest one i can mention.

NOW LOU DOBBS ALONG WITH EVERYONE ELSE TALKS ABOUT OUTSOURCING & IMMIGRATION

i warned that there was a shortage in oil coming. mr harmond along with others said i was an alarmist. don't worry, be happy was all we heard. there's plenty of oil. mr crawford is a chicken little looking for something to fret about.

NOW PEOPLE ARE OBSESSED WITH WATCHING THE PRICE OF OIL SKYROCKET.

we could go on and on. i said the dollar was going to collapse, inflation and interest rates were going to skyrocket, etc.

AND NOW PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO WORRY ABOUT INFLATION AND RATES. THE DOLLAR IS IN A TAILSPIN.

i had a stock challenge with rd buschman on this thread in the summer of 2001. we each picked 5 stocks. i will be a gentleman and not show you how poorly his picks fared. just recall that i picked arch coal which is closing in on a triple if you add in the dividends paid out. i picked teck which merged with cominco (canadian metals-mining companies) which has tripled. i picked apex silver which has more than doubled.
my little zinc play breakwater in canada i got into too early and has been down the last couple weeks so i am only flat but it was up 25% as of a couple weeks ago. of course breakwater (along with my other pick teck) being a canadian company you would have made out like a bandit because of the currency gains. my only dog out of the 5 picks was my speculative zinc play in australia pasminco. they didn't survive the downcycle and went into a form of bankruptcy. their stock hasn't traded the last few years. too bad, zinc is at the highest level in about a decade if i'm not mistaken.

i have yet one more prediction to share with you folks, but this time will you hearken and hear for the time to come?
