I am geniunely sorry about your husband. Sadly, I see similar stories unfold in people I know.

I cannot begin to imagine how a daily intake of Xanax would change a person, biologically as well as psychologically, having taken a half tablet of Xanax in my life, at the funeral of a friend. The hour or so I managed to stay awake then, walking was impossible, kept bouncing off walls, and I could not talk in sentences of more than three words. It is a VERY potent drug and while there must be people and extreme circumstances it is appropriate, over long periods of time, it cannot amount to much more of a healing power than induced coma, in my very humble layman opinion.
