Bad day in black rock(bagdad) today. Shiass need to defend their city too. Without indigenous forces in place of any consequences and if even they are only roving bands or remnants of zarquawi, they still have the ability to do much harm. For us to have a good election outcome, the US needs substantially more troops as called for by biden and lugar in bagdad yesterday OR participation in iraqs defense by shiaa and kurdish forces in the triangle. I am still at 50/50 but i cant say that facts on the ground have made me more optimistic this week. Insurgency and zarquawi refuse to die. Mike
