So you would allow illegals to have a driver's license as long as they disclose their country of origin? I'm not sure I would go that far.

I would like to see a fail-safe method of identifying every person who sets foot on American soil. They should be required to check in with the Border Patrol monthly, and if they fail to do this whatever legal status that they have would be revoked, permanently.

I realize this is an impossible scenario.

For a humorous take on this issue, go see the movie "Terminal," with Tom Hanks. His character scrupulously followed every rule, to no avail until ...

Well, go rent the movie. It's very good.

I personally believe, drivers licenses should have country of origin and citizenship status on them.
