I have posted about this a couple of times in the past but was shouted down and laughed at by the lefties (who seem to think it has something to do with kerry and bush). This event is absolutely no surprise and we can expect to see much more of it until Nationalism and Iraqi security forces prevail.

"...call themselves RELIGIOUS as the SLAUGHTER innocent people in THEIR OWN RELIGIOUS TEMPLE."

The fierce hatred of the Suni Muslims for the Shiite Muslims is far more serious than their hatred of us. We are a foriegn culture that they would prefer to have nothing to do with and if they could isolate an Islamic Soveriegn state for themselves we would be one of their lesser concerns (except where they have to deal with us on global-economics).

However, the Suni fundamentalists like Al-Zaraqawi hate the Shiites for corrupting what is God's pure religion. There is zero tolerance for these fascist dictator wannabees. They would like to eradicate them genocidally and have been very outspoken about it. It is not surprising that a Mosque would be bombed at this time and if we pulled out there would be the kind of genocidal civil war I mentioned... there is no doubt in my mind. There are at least 6 large sub-groups in Iraq that have intolerance for one another. If that were to happen, the most fundamental extreme culture in modern history would surface in the aftermath. It would be backed by the greatest economic resources of all time, and it would have us at the top of their 'to do' list.

Suggesting that the USA just leave them alone to decide what to do about the government of their own country, at this juncture is ludicrous and such comments can only be based on ignorance of the situation at hand.

The US Govt is taking way too long to try them for murder and other crimes. What is taking so long.
