Lots of people are targeting innocents. But there is no evidence he was targeting the US. And the Us people were sold the idea that there was a threat, a big enough threat to justify a war. They did NOT support the war because they thought Saddam shouldn't be in a cage. They did not support the war because they thought Saddam's violation of the no-fly zone was just too much to take. They supported the war because they thought there were WMD's and they thought they would be used against the US. Can you argue that the US people did not support the war because of these things? Do you imagine the US people would support the war for the reasons you now claim you support the war?
