THREAD BUSINESS--PLEASE READ Last night I banned Longnshort from Feelies. He has been warned regarding personal attacks and character assassination after he said that I banned people because I didn't like them (not true). I gave him 24 hours to prove this or publicly state that it wasn't true, and not only did he not do that, but posted an old message of mine from 1998 (!) and claimed I was a hypocrite because of it. Longnshort was not a regular poster here and seemed to just come over for the sole purpose of attacking me--he didn't really say anything that was articulate or even had a point. He is banned permanently. So now we have Augustus Gloop banned for extremely crude language (Poet had the post removed, as I understand, because it was so objectionable). He is not welcome back, ever. We have Jewel O The West banned for a personal attack on Ionesco and then calling me a name. I thought he had some inteesting things to say, and would have possibly considered having him come back, except that he sent me several private messages that were worse than what he said publicly. E has acknowledged that Jewel contacted her and confirmed this. Lazarus Long was banned for several objectionable posts, more particularly for telling me he didn't give a (bad word implied) after I warned him. I did invite him back if he could behave himself, but he has not indicated to me that he wants to so far. Ben Wobbles got carried away in the heat of a big Feelies argument and was banned, but came forward and acknowledged his banning was fair, and I thought that was very decent and showed a lot of integrity, and he is back now. SO, this is the entire report on the status of the banned. If anyone has anything else to say about this say it now, because I am not going to be nickel and dimed to death discussing this over time. If you have feelings, particularly if you still are trying to make the argument that that the bannings are unfair or politically based or whatever, speak up!
