I don't actually enjoy Prairie Home Companion, except for Lake Woebegone Tales. The music is not to my taste, and the jokes are not funny to me. But I do try to tune in to the Lake Woebegone monologue, which I do enjoy.

Typically, it comes on at the bottom of the second hour, frequently after a Guy Noir episode, or one of the cowboy episodes. I will turn the show off and on if I am in the car until the monologue starts, despite the fact that my husband and the boys complain loudly. Nick will try to turn it off if he is sitting in the front, and I have to slap his hand! He is 6'3" but I still win those fights.

The fact that Garrison Keillor is a big liberal and hates George W. Bush does not bother me in the least. It's a free country.

Do you listen to Prairie Home Companion on Saturday?

Have you ever noticed that every one of Garrison Keillor's shows sounds the same as every other one he's done?

They have the stock bluegrass/folkie music

They have News from Lake Woebegone, musing about Minnesta winter weather and Norweigian bachelor farmers

They have Guy Noir, Private Eye

The same bad jokes

And much more, much like they did 10 or more years ago.

Garrison Keillor is frozen in time.

What really put me over the top, however, was his digs on the show against the Administration and conservatives. Yet another entertainer who things his views on politics are relevant.

I don't listen much, but it seems like he's biting the hand that feeds him now.

Michael Savage lost it a long time ago. He's gotten absolutely psychotic since the election.
