I could take time to debunk your post but its not worth my effort. Clearly we see things differently and that just isn't going to change.

1. Patriotism and "nationalism" are not the same thing and patriotism certainly doesn't rise to the level or definition of fascism.

2. There are accusations of torture that depend on a very loose definition as has been discussed here and there are instances of violations by specific individuals who are now facing charges for their alleged actions. A fascist regime does not investigate, disclose and prosecute such alleged crimes. Furthermore, there have been no summary executions or assassinations of prisoners. As for the length of incarcerations of enemy combatants, it is not unusual, in a war, to hold enemy prisoners until hostilities cease. When you identify a sovereign entity with which we might negotiate a peace treaty that would bind these individuals, let me know.

3. No one has been "rallied into a patriotic frenzy", but the threat from islamic terrorists is real. In case you hadn't noticed, we were attacked repeatedly by them. Or do you think that all happened on a Hollywood sound stage?

4. The military is certainly not "glamorized" in this country, spending on the military is only about 1/6 of the federal budget, and the "domestic agenda" is NOT neglected.

5. Opposition to abortion is high in many nations where citizens believe in the sanctity of life and such beliefs are certainly not, ipso facto, fascist. To suggest os is simply stupid. Furthermore, the Bush administration is hardly sexist (or racist, for that matter) or "male-dominated" (or white male dominated). Bush has the best record of any president in history for diversity in his high level appointments. As for "gender roles [being] made more rigid", that's ridiculous. Look around, dope. Finally, there is no "homophobia" inherent in the simple idea of not extending otherwise non-existent marriage rights to same-sex couples.

6. I could go on and address every other vague assertion of your post, but they get sillier and sillier as you go and I have other things to do than to try to educate you in how to identify fallacious arguments and distortions. You're a lost cause, incapable of thinking for yourself anyway, and not worth the time.
