yes, i was wondering about the way Contrarianism itself can confuse us all?
Take housing for example: lots of news lately that the top may be in on home prices: many folks I know say things are way over done and it could crash from here....the contrarian reaction would be to assume these folks are wrong and we can only go up...but with housing, it might not work that way at all. indeed, if folks really start to beleive the negativity, they may not want to buy if they havent, and if they are selling, they may begin to lower thier prices which of course could esily snowball. what am i missing here?
