Sounds right, "Torsk" of course being Cod.
For Swedish Lutfisk (less common in Norwegian Lutefisk) a special kind of Cod "Långa" is essential for best quality and is always used.

The lutfisk aroma is pleasant to anybody who loves fish.

But check out "Surstromming" once and you know what stinky fish is all about! Just a few restaurants in Stockholm serve it in season and only in closed rooms, where nothing else is served. "Tennstopet" is one of them, a tradition there.
A generous supply of Brännvin (Schnapps) is highly recommended to go with it and let a few hit the spot before opening the can!
