Qaddafi is one of the most misunderstood world leaders among the American public. The imperialist propaganda machine has been in high dudgeon since the Qaddafi regime nationalized Libya's oil and started to spend the money on his people, instead of on a mere handful of U.S. oil industry executives and himself. If the American people were told the truth about Qaddafi, they'd declare him a hero, and string up the rapacious CEOs whose only goal has been and continues to be plunder.
