Been thinking about your post. There are no 9 year cycles (It;s every 13 and 17 years for cicadas right?). There are no 9.5 year, or 7.75 year, or 2.1245 year cycles either.

Its like hyper-Calvinism, and man has no free will.

With that said, the actions/results/turns described in these many cycles are real, and may in fact repeat in the form of a cycle. I just laugh when someone explains to me that X is going to happen on X date because they have back tested some formula and it has historically produced a result at some given interval.

Watch out for those cicadas in 08. They will be back.
