I wish I were getting a kickback for every time I plugged Michael Adams book Fire and Ice but it demonstrates a real lack of commonality... especially I'd wager wrt the average age of the poster here.

there may be 150 stationed here (Alert, They're likely no problem... mostly popsicles :o)

I forget the name but the top health guy in the Bush administration just resigned. He publicly stated what I've wondered increasingly since 911. How come there have been no attacks on things like water or food supply in the US ? These things have to be easier than trying to do anything nuclear..

A nuke from a rouge nation might kill, at worst Seems to me the ONLY rogue nation with a possibly missile deliverable weapon might be North Korea.. (I don't see China or Russia etc.. in the rogue light) and do they really have the delivery mechanism ? Besides as you say a ship blowing up in NY harbour would be something much easier to deny any culpability in.. and yet none of these things have happened ... is homeland security that good ?

Anyway one last thing on missile defence ... again as you say it's a hell of a lot of dough for a remote maybe... just who are the threats ? I think sure control of our borders, and coastal waters are far more important... I don't know that we can even fend off Portuguese trawlers ;O)

Kastel
