Overall I would say buying a Roomba is more a positive than a negative, but you may have to adjust the obstacles around your house if you have any for optimum performance, and as long as you do not expect perfection, it is a fun cleaner to have around IMO. Since it is pretty good at collecting dust and pet hair, I would empty it as much as possible, and make sure to clean the roller brush when necessary. A visual inspection should tell you when. <g>
