Although I"ve been lightening up on energy since it actually 'could' [I have my doubts] be effected by a global bust, long gold and gold shares is still a no brainer IMO. I'm probably not going back into $US's in my lifetime so luckily I don't need to have an opinion there, although if I had to make a comment it would be "I wouldn't want to be long it" unless one is playing a bounce for fun. I don't need that kind of fun, fortunately.

So cash [nonUSD unless you're a 'trader'] and gold sounds nice.
