<Perhaps in every passing year we will be collecting less from the living and more from the dead...not a very bad situation if you ask me <g>> Many in my parents generation did not pay as much into SS as they got back. They also benefited from the build up of the Regan debt and artificially lower taxes through schemes such as Prop 13 in California. It used to be that people thought first about survival and then about the future of the kids. I seems now that they first think about satisfying personal aquisitiveness and the future be damned.
