Early this year, I switched my 401k to International Equity which did quite well. It was the only option that appealed to me. 2 and 1/2 per cent Money Market and Bonds were out. I don't like the poison the Federal debt has dumped into the US equity market. We also had gold stocks but they weren't available in the 401k.

I've been a closet bear for some time, but one has to stay somewhat in stocks. I'm looking back to fundamentals of PE's and sustained growth. I'm not impressed by a 208 PE of Google. Companies that actually make something people need is also good.

We have people talking about privatizing Social Security which is a sure way to guarantee that the equity people think they have is all p_ssed away (but not before it's looted). I wish could be more positive and upbeat.
