Your goldfish sounds very smart and playful, Ionesco. What is its name? Too bad it doesn't live with you anymore! Mine were pretty and happy and friendly, but they didn't do any tricks. One thing about the humane instructions for helping a dying goldfish go mercifully . . . I misspoke. You put the goldfish in a little bowl of water that you scoop from the tank at the same time, and then put the whole thing on a plate in your freezer. You don't just put the poor little fish on a plate, because it would suffocate and that would not be gentle. So, if anyone is trying this at home . . .
