Friedman is one smart dude. He's liked by all sides I have several Jewish friends living in the US and in Israel. All of them are pretty smart dudes and most of them of higher academic educational levels. I have learned, however, to be quite cautious in praising Friedman and his columns. The fact is that an amazing amount of the US Jewish friends of mine, lawyers, medical doctors and others, reject Friedman "when he goes too soft" which in their opinion is most of the time. That tells more about them than about Friedman though IMO. Taro
