Thanks Searle, it certainly seems there is a connection, without doubt. A while ago, I compared the POG to oil. The trends are not identical, but interesting in any case. Some people in the past were claiming a gold/oil connection. Oil has outperformed gold a fair amount.

This is one of the best intelligence reports that I have read about the three stages of a secular gold bull. It shows the eventual $USD disconnect that will occur in the second stage. This explains the parabola that happens as gold becomes a bull in all currencies. If you haven't seen it I recommend it because it allows one to see what happened in the last gold bull and what will happen since the secular run has been proven over the last 42 months.
