It may surprise you to learn that I am not the author of that article. The author is wrong in two respects. First, we are not fighting a war. We were attacked once, and that attack triggered a series of events that will take several years to play out ... but it does not amount to a war. Second, it is literally impossible for the terrorists to "defeat" us. We may prove capable of defeating ourselves ... that is the best they can hope for.
