In fact I listed the points we need to do, that would put SS in the black, maybe too much in the black. John I'll repeat: The solutions are so simple. 1. Raise FICA a bit, maybe 10% 2. Figure a formula that splits the difference between inflation and wage appreciation for COL adjustments. 3. Eliminate the cap on FICA taxes, currently at $80K. 4. Eliminate benefit for those with more than $100K in income.
