Reading that the premium for WHT is only 7% one can hardly make the case that this is especially bullish for miners over all...but we'll see...

I make it a 14% premium. How do you get 7?

a premium of approximately 7% to Wheaton River's average closing market price for the previous 30 days on the Toronto Stock Exchange.


In an interview after the IMG/WRM merger vote failed Ian Telfer was asked why he thought it failed. He said that he didn't do a good enough job selling the deal to the IMG shareholders and also it had been said that they negotiated too good a deal for the WRM shareholders.

May be he is trying to compensate for that?
