My parents also had a motel when I was young. I grew up on Lake Champlain in a motel with 12 small cabins. We cleaned the rooms and cabins whenever the chambermaids were off or up and quit on us.

We also had Canadians stay there as we were on US 9N about 90 miles south of Montreal.

One night a woman went crazy and tried to shoot her husband in one of the rooms........we saw the bullets in the walls........it was quite an evening.

we also rented the rooms, etc.

YOu grow up quick in the motel business!!! LOL...you also see alot and her alot!!! LOL..........we used to steal the sodas out of the boiler room where they were stored before they were put in the soda machine.

I had alot of fun being so close to the lake and was involved in all kinds of water sports. I learned to water ski at 7 years old.

I have good memories of those innocent days.
