Perhaps you should review Arab history since, let's say, the 1940's. After you do that, please come back and we can discuss this some more. I have had Palestinian friends, and I've read extensively about this issue, so I know a little bit about the subject (I'm not claiming to be any kind of expert). I would agree that some of the neighboring states are afraid to take in or give citizenship to huge numbers of Palestinian refugees, because of fears of destabilization of their own societies. But these states did not cause the refugee problem. How many Jews did we let sail for America during World War II to give them sanctuary? I have forgotten the exact number, but it is minute, and a shameful detail of American history. And I also would say that the Arabs are fighting about more than the Palestinians, because the western invasion of Arab lands and the establishment of Israel triggered a Crusades-type response in the Muslim world. But try to prove that that rise in terrorism from the 1940's was a response to something other than the Palestinian situation. I don't think you can do it, but I am interested to see what you find out. Incidentally, "our vision" of the Middle East is nothing that should be foisted upon sovereign states in another region of the planet. Nothing at all gives us the right to do this. It is like the French invading America and insisting we will all eat snails three times a day at gunpoint, it is so absurd. But most Americans cannot see that, and so we blunder along, risking World War III.
