It really can be the opiate of the masses that old time religion stuff. We need an old time Buddhist revival for the Bubbas and Bubbettes. Teach them that they are part of a greater whole and the about the illusory nature of reality. Certainly no weirder than mainstream precepts and would help them understand why their hog prices are so low. Factory farms are subsidized for their pollution and are inclined to give their hogs antibiotics proactively to keep disease from breaking out. Bon Appetit! I've seen good hog farms in the UK and they seem to make a good living doing it. Certainly no worse than their neighbors. Each hog has 300 square feet to live in, so if its sick, it doesn't make its neighbor pig sick.
