Jlallen, re: What purpose is served by demeaning the sacrifice of Mr. Tillman in this way? What purpose is served in denigrating the military and/or Admin. in this way...?

Let me try to explain some things to you that should be obvious. First, no one is trying to demean the sacrifice of Mr. Tillman in any way. The truth of what he did is his legacy, not the fiction that was created in an attempt to use his death for crass political purposes. Second, under the true state of facts he died an honorable death and lived an honorable life. I don't think that he or his family wanted or expected that his death would be covered in lies.

The real issue is not Tillman, the real issue is a military up and down the chain of command that is ready, willing and able to lie to us in order to create false beliefs that further their political aims. That's the real issue and if you can't see the serious danger in that then you probably don't deserve the sacrifices of those who have given their life's efforts so that we can live in a free, informed and democratic society.
