If you think I am tailoring my actual thoughts and reactions for effect, you are mistaken. If you think it is of some interest to me how people react, you are quite right, and there is nothing wrong with that. I am always pleased when someone likes something I have written, for example, and sorry if I give too much offense. Obviously, I would prefer not to be insulted because I disagree with you, but I try to be magnanimous. So I am not sure what point you think you are making.
