Boy its you middle of the roaders who really screwed up vietnam. (g) War is just too ugly for a neat solution. Its either rummy/neocon way or Ed's way. Thats the choice that is always before me and the one i talk so much about on this thread. If you go along with biden and lugar and more troops and also with the solve all the other issues that anger muslims first, you get nowhere. American kids are dying and each day you wake up and have to ask yourself if its worthile. It is getting harder and harder to make that case so if things dont get better fast i will be saying what ed says. We can say we gave iraq a saddam free state, freed the kurds and shiaa and gave the entire country a chance at democracy that may very well fail. We wind up with an exit date and three states and save the next 1000 americans who would die there, thats ok with me. I feel sorrow for the sunni iraqis but i think they are the ones that may have blown the chance they were given even if i recognize now that our post war policies were certainly not ideal. Mike
