"But you have to agree, that being here, it had to come from somewhere. It is very hard to argue that it did not start"

No harder than it is to argue that it DID "start". What is difficult to argue against is that the universe does not exist. The existence of the universe requires very little other than a simple remark from Descartes to begin with. But if you can imagine the end of the universe then you should be able to imagine that it started. I have not heard anyone say that the end of the universe is going to "cause" something to happen? And if the end of the universe is the "cause" of something...then it would be just as logical to imagine it as the "beginning" of something. Do you follow?

In any case, none of this is about spirits or the BIG BIG SPIRIT. It is not about some guy with a beard letting Moses see his hind parts. It is about humanity and physics and the eternal flow of life and matter into infinite variety. It is about gold and hookers...and not having enough gold. And apples, too.

And the Government drug industry--scotch, whiskey, vodka, and the Senate. It is about McDonald's having more land now than the Vatican...but let us not underestimate greed, stupidity, or the propensity of God to keep screwing up.
