No question a split up would not be a cakewalk. I think Sun made some good points on this awhile ago. You may want to ask him to elaborate. From what i remember, badgad ends up in shiaa iraq, the kurds take kirkuk and i am not sure of mosul. The triangle according to sun could end up as part of syria.
One other point is that folks are always talking about wrongs done by the west to the arab world. Some are true, some exaggerated and some are false. I have always felt that in a united arab world, oil producing states had to figure out a way to share with their arab bretheren. Saudi Arabian oil could have been the core of an economically sound mideast instead of what it has become. mike
