I thought about that, too...but it was a step up from Kings and serfs!

When did the women get to be considered people in the US? It wasn't until 1929 that women in Canada convinced the Privy Counsel that they were "persons".

I wonder how they managed that... It is mind boggling! "You are a woman. You are not a PERSON so you have no rights! Go feed the Blacks their soup. There is Christian cotton to be picked..."

A- Certainly not on a religious basis.

Response- Direct quote from the DOI that human rights issue from the Creator God who created all men equal.

Counter response- "It seems that those religious folks figured some men were only 3/5 equal, and what about women?"

Thank you for conceding the point. The fact that they were inconsistent in their application adds nothing to the basic premise. Today Scott Peterson is facing death for killing his unborn son while it is fine for any woman to do the same thing and call it choice. What about them?
