People don't mean to create such chaos. They're just sheep running around in a big herd, frightened by random loud noises, veering suddenly when they think they smell green grass -- and in the process jostling and trampling over each other, even occasionally running each other over the cliff.

All of this insanity happened as recently as the 1980s and came to a sudden end in 1990. I saw real estate developers worth a hundred million or more lose their projects back to the banks and end up in a one bedroom apartment driving a VW bug barely able to pay their rent. I can't think of a single one that didn't get sued for divorce at the same time.

All of this insanity vanishes quickly and quietly leaving everyone wondering if it wasn't just a bad dream.

Well, except for those with the huge mortgage payments, that get a sick feeling each month as they read the value of their house declined again but it's still that time of the month to write that big check that they can't really afford and wonder what they're going to do and how long they can hold out.

<Think about it, it'll just about take YOU croaking before your son or daughter will be able to live in a house in the same town as you. For this reason, I absolutely detest real estate speculators. I mean if you wanna speculate go buy some Tasr or Tzoo or somethin'- don't mess with somebody's future home!( New home flippers, there's a special place in my hell for you!)>

I totally agree and I considered myself a real estate investor for a long time. Totally embarrassed to see what is has become in my state with all the greed of everyone involved (even local government) in getting their palms greased. The fraud that comes out of all this will blow your mind. And Bush's "ownership society" is nothing more than an attempt to make the working class slaves to their mortgages forever.
