The initial toppling of the upper thirty floors followed by its disappearance into the dust, before it could fall to the ground and before the remainder of the building also "transformed" into dust, gives the clue as to what happened. Indeed, as I now understand it, the building did not implode and then fall down in the manner of a "normal" demolition ie as a complete unit, which then broke up as it hit the ground. In fact, only the remains of the steel columns of the central core and the outer frame fell. Virtually all the remainder of the building -- concrete, glass, office contents, human remains, etc etc -- was pulverized into fine dust and wafted off over Manhattan. And if that's not evidence of an explosion (to put it mildly), then I don't know what it is?
