Investors certainly should, as stocks are also a ponzi scheme. Think about extracting as little as 10% and see what would happen to the valuation of the remaining 90%. On the other hand, injecting an additional $200B-$300B into the equites market each year would at least help keep stocks up as the boomers start taking some out in the next decade.
