Can you describe this theology with reference to the concept of irony? Or, explain their relationship with the primitive and the modern.

There are a lot of ways of looking at it. The explanation of the difference that resonates most with me is that it's a simple matter of temperament--nurturing vs strict father world views. Nothing necessarily wrong with either, except at the extremes.
