<American Dollar>

Thanks Nigel for posting..yesterday, I saw a cable finance program highlighting that because of the strength of currencies against the American dollar..foreign investors are scooping up property in high ticket places like NYC commercial/residential lots. That residential foreign investment had been heating up for a while but that commercial is "just gaining traction".[I wish I could remember the name of this person]

What implications might this have?..keep our real estate bubble intact?..pricing out Americans living here?..

It feels a bit like Spain(my only personal experience)also Argentina..when their economy collapsed, I got so many solicitations(what happens when your name is hybrid<g>)..foreign investors scooped up(continue to) land for dirt cheap since the 70's..middle class Spaniards(I know of a couple) now getting outpriced in Barcelona..for disclosure..I'm one of the Americans who hopes to scoop some Spanish real estate ASAP..anyone know of a thread that discusses such issues?
