It's a good message. I think a good start will be to give Bush the line item veto. That way he can get a smaller budget signed without having to give in to all the pork that Congress tacks on. What happened to all that political capital he won in the election? Frankly, though, if I had been President after 9/11, I would have used that political capital to get the U.S. off of Middle East oil dependence instead of going to Iraq. That requires intellect and vision. Al
